In 2009, Massachusetts lawmakers approved a new law according the the Food Allergy Awareness Act. This law makes it so that all Massachusetts restaurants are required to have a "certified food protection manager" on staff who knows the ingredients in each menu item and who also understands how to prevent cross-contamination. Restaurants also must include allergen notes in menus and have allergy awareness posters on site for employees to reference.

ServSafe is a food safety training and certificate program administered by the National Restaurant Association. The program is accredited by American National Standards Institute(ANSI) and the Conference for Food Protection (CFP).
A ServSafe certificate is a basic credential required by many restaurants for their management staff.

This is the evidence of participation and completion of my NUCUFS internship at Harvard University Hospitality and Dining Services.
